Globally Launching Vivo’s new X50 flagship phones – X50 is smooth

Vivo X50 series

The international launch of Vivo’s new X50 series of smartphones has been confirmed. With the new gimbal-style camera on the higher end X50 models, which is said to be a “breakthrough” image stabilization system for both photos as well as videos, a bold claim by Vivo indeed. Compared to the traditional optical image stabilization system, the new gimbal-style is completely new for Vivo smartphones.

What did Vivo include in the X50 Series?

The Vivo X50 is thinnest among the three at 7.55mm. It has a Snapdragon 765, a 4200mAh battery, a 90Hz refresh rate for the screen, and a 48-megapixel camera without the implementation of the new gimbal system. It also has a 5-megapixel macro lens with an ultrawide and depth sensors. It doesn’t have telephoto.

Also, the ultrawide and telephoto uses 8-megapixel while the depth sensor uses 13-megapixel.

The Vivo X50 Pro Plus, as the name suggests, is the ‘king’ among the three smartphones. It sits at the top with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 856 processor, and up to 12GB of RAM. The screen its uses is a 6.6-inch curved OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The battery it uses is a 4350mAh battery with 44W fast charging. The camera of X50 Pro Plus is very impressive as it utilizes Samsung’s new 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN1 sensor with the implementation of Vivo’s gimbal system. Plus, it is backed with a 13-megapixel ultrawide, a 13-megapixel 5x telephoto (periscope telephoto), and lastly, 32-megapixel depth sensors.

Initial Launch and Pricing

Even though they may have some differences in camera, processor, battery, etc Vivo managed to include a 32-megapixel hole-punch selfie camera, WIFI 6, and a dual-mode 5G system in all the three Vivo smartphones. They all run the incredible Vivo’s Funtouch OS 10 (loosely based on Android 10).
